We all new it was coming. The new 3.0 software for both the iPhone 3G and the iPod Touch. Apple usually releases an updated gadget along with the new software. Does this mean Apple may be designing a new iPhone 3G? Maybe so.
What will the new 3.0 software be offering and is it worth upgrading? I will break it down for you.
CUT COPY PASTE!
Finally, Apple has come up with the idea of Cut, Copy, Paste. This will provide all iPhone and iPod Touch users with the 3.0 software to select text, cut it, copy it or paste it into other notes or in an e-mail. The coolest part is, that if you want to undo what you just did, all you have to do is shake the iPhone. Pretty cool if you ask me, eh?
The good news does not stop there, with Apple finally allowing iPhone users to send MMS. This has been one of the basic features that has lacked in the iPhone and have turned many people off from buying an iPhone.
SPOTLIGHT!
You can ask any Mac user, and I assure you they will tell you how easy it is to locate anything on a Mac using spotlight. This feature will now be included in the 3.0 software. It will allow users to easily locate songs, videos, documents and notes.
YOUTUBE!
You will now be able to not only view videos, but to view profiles, subscribe and rate videos. If your lucky, they might even let you comment on videos, or maybe we are just pushing our luck.
LANDSCAPE!
This isn’t a new way of looking at things on your iPhone/iPod Touch, but it just makes it look the extra bit cooler. All applications will allow you to view them in a landscape view.
Other cool features that will be included in the new 3.0 software will be shake to shuffle (currently on the new iPod Nano’s), notes will be able to sync with iTunes, stereo bluetooth and more.
You must be wondering, with all this good news it is usually followed by something negative. You guessed it!….or did you? The 3.0 software will not be available until next summer. What a bummer dude. Ohwell, something good always takes time. I hope you enjoyed my first blog. Make sure you check out my YouTube channel.
